The Sustainable Success Story
Sustainable Success was founded by Anita and Lillian in September 2019 in Shanghai, aiming to spread positive messages about emotional and social wellbeing and long-term success in high schools around the world. They have personally witnessed and experienced the burdening academic stress, time-management struggles, and lack of lifestyle balance as high school students, and they want to help their peers develop mindsets and skills to thrive in their schools and turn their challenges into positive learning experiences.

At school, Anita and Lillian directly interact with their peers through presenting at weekly assemblies about common emotions and struggles as high schoolers and the psychological explanation behind those experiences; they also host student discussions about these topics to further engage their peers in meaningful discussions about their personal views on these topics. They have also worked to expand their social media platform on Instagram and YouTube, uploading timely posts and videos related to current events: coping with loneliness for quarantine lifestyles, cultivating, intrinsic motivation during virtual school, and educational and change-making resources for the Black Lives Matter movement.
By doing so, they hope to initiate a cultural shift in the highly-competitive environment of high schools around the world. By revealing the psychological explanations behind these common experiences and promoting skills for self-care, Anita and Lillian are encouraging their peers to be more introspective and open-minded as they journey through the ups and downs of high school. Their messages have been very well-received by their peers and have inspired deeper conversations about stress management, expectations, friendships, etc. Anita and Lillian have brought the idea of personal and collective wellness into the spotlight at their school, and wish to do the same for other schools as they expand their influence.
